St. Joseph’s Music Ministry provides liturgical music at all the four mass times at St. Joseph’s church, as well to other liturgical celebrations at our parish. We sing various genres of liturgical music, from gregorian chant to contemporary folk songs. To join any of the choirs at St. Joseph, previous musical training is not a necessity as long as long as you sing in pitch, possess strong musicality and love to sing in a group. Training is provided.

We are always in need of more pianist (gr. 5 and above), guitarist and other instrumentalists (e.g., violinist, flutist, percussionist etc.).

If a member of St. Joseph Parish wishes to become a choir member or musicians at our liturgies, they must fulfill these criteria before they are commissioned:

  • Baptized and registered in this parish.
  • Have completed the process of volunteer screening, and signed the Model Code of Conduct form, in order to assist in developing and implementing uniform diocesan guidelines for appropriate behaviour for all religious and lay persons involved in ministries and other activities.
  • Availability to attend yearly (or as scheduled) musical workshop/training.
