St. Joseph’s Prayer Shawl Ministry is an expression of our Baptismal Commitment to be God’s healing light and comfort through the creation of shawls. While knitting shawls, the person receiving it is prayed for by the group and the shawl is then blessed. The shawl is meant to symbolize God’s loving embrace. Shawls are given to those who are in need of comfort, such as someone who has lost a loved one, is ill, in a hospital or nursing home, someone having a baby or experiencing difficulties in their life and would appreciate being “wrapped in the arms of God.”
If you like to knit or crochet come join us! It is an evening of praying, laughing, sharing and supporting one another. The group meets on the first Wednesday of every month from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the church office area.
