About the event
Join us for a two-day diocesan AI Symposium, where faith and technology come together in conversation. Scholars and practitioners, including Steven Umbrello, Matthew Harvey Sanders, Louise Lodevole, Dr. Ed Tse, and Bishop McGrattan, will examine Artificial Intelligence through the lenses of Catholic doctrine, human dignity, family life, and its impact on society.
With keynote addresses, panel discussions, and guided reflection, this event will engage us on one of today's most urgent questions: What are the promises and perils of AI, and how can the Church provide guidance in this new era?
Who should attend?
Clergy, religious, educators, students, tech professionals, and anyone interested in the future of faith in an AI-driven world.
When: Friday & Saturday, October 17 & 18, 2025
Where: McGivney Hall, St. Mary's University (14500 Bannister Road SE, Calgary)
